“Use energy for your life, not your laundry!”

Montana Couple Solves Nationwide Laundry Problem

Americans who want to reduce their energy use know that air-drying laundry is good for the environment—and their wallets.  But in many communities, hanging laundry outside is against the law and indoor racks take up precious floor space. Bozeman couple Carol and James Bildahl have a practical and elegant solution: Drynhigh, an indoor ceiling-mounted airing rack.

Carol and James always envied the drying racks in Carol’s family home in Ireland.  They brought a heavy, cast-iron model back to the U.S. and installed it in their Bozeman home, where it was in constant use—everything from running and ski clothes, camping gear, sheets, towels, jeans and delicate lingerie went right from the washing machine onto the rack and then up to the ceiling.  Everyone who saw their rack wanted one, so the Bildahl’s designed a modern version, made of lightweight recycled plastic instead of heavy metal.  Autopilot did the plastics, Simkins-Hallin the wood, Wallace Millworks milled the wood, and Future Farm created the web site, all Bozeman Businesses: only the pulleys and cleat are imported.

Wash it, Air it, Wear it: Drynhigh makes indoor air-drying surprisingly easy:  The rack is mounted on the ceiling with two pulleys, it’s a cinch to lower the rack, hang laundry, and then pull the line to raise the rack to the ceiling, where circulating air dries the load naturally.

Homeowners can expect to save $10 a month or more by hanging three loads a week on the Drynhigh.  Air-dried clothes last longer, too, because they’re not exposed to the heat and friction in the dryer.  Frayed and faded clothing will be a thing of the past!

Runner, hikers, skiers, campers, anglers—anyone who has gear that needs washing, drying, or airing will especially appreciate the convenience and energy-savings of this practical and elegant rack.  Active families may want to have two Drynhighs—one near the laundry room for regular laundry and another in the garage for outdoor gear.

“Use energy for your life, not your laundry!” is their motto.

Drynhigh is available in blue, red and yellow for $68.00 from www.drynhigh.com or Phone 406-624-6177.

Thanks!
